It's too hot. Way too hot. If you are crazy enough to plan to take a trip to Japan before it gets to autumn, come prepared. Wear a hat. Pack light clothes. Drink lots of water, or sample all those "sports drink" from convenience stores (and while I'm on the topic- Pocali Sweat does not contain any sweat whatsoever. It's just a stupid name). Seriously. People are falling from heat stroke all over the country.
Every once in a while, i like to make pancakes at three am. and then you can find me the next day sweating bullets at the local gym. i always wonder while everyone's staring at me, is it my ass in the spandex? no, most definitely not. they're wondering how many pancakes i ate at three am.
It has been chaotic at work lately. We are trying something new to make the production line move smoother. I believe it has all the potential to really work, but there are some people that refuse to go along with any kind of change. They just can't see beyond "that's how we've always done it". If we could get everyone on board, it would not only speed up the line, but it would make everyone's life easier.
Thankfully, I only have to deal with it one more day because I took Thursday and Friday off. On Thursday, I will be driving my wife and oldest son to the airport for their trip to Romania. Then, my youngest son and I are going on our own excursion to Islands of Adventure in Orlando. He loves roller coasters and I hear they have some really good ones. Now, I just have to get through today.
Anyone despairing of the future of the human race really should visit the Science Museum in London. You will surely walk away uplifted, as I was. There on display you will see thousands of examples of man's genius in fashioning the machines we so take for granted today. What is so astonishing is the progress that has been made in such a relatively short time. I have chosen images that illustrate this progress.
This is a replica of an Astrarium built in 1381. A description follows.
Then there is Stephenson's Rocket which was built in 1829.
Around 150 years later man had progressed to sending a man to the moon in this spacecraft.
And here is a replica of the very first computer invented by Charles Babbage around 1849.
On display is also the very first jet engine which I neglected to get a photo of, and many of the early machines created in man's attempts at flight. I marvelled at the courage and sheer persistence of these people in overcoming what must have seemed at times insurmountable problems. Yet they endured, and today we reap the rewards of their efforts. Surely there's a message there for all of us.
Today I helped my friend Jen at her work place at Edgewood to package letters for their many donors and such, was fun.. over 1500 letters were to be sent out. It's a really cool place helping at risk kids and my my the building they work in is soooo great! very historic it was once a Victorian orphanage at one point a great one too! After which I had lunch with Monk( the asian body guard I shot) at that lunch I met a Stylist whose responsible for training models for runway and such.. whoot! he does it for a very good cause, he takes at risk girls and train them to become high fashion models, cool guy lots of link ups too and I may be shooting some of his models... whoot!! urgh got my tickets to a charity fashion show in which Monk will participate, his first runway show. Got to support my friends.. urgh bad thing its on the 2nd of August the day that work will be having the manditory friends and family.. I'll work but I have to leave early.. this show is a great place for me to do some networking for sure...
after that went back to helping at Edgewood and I got a cute bookmark for helping!
and then after that I did a photoshoot.. this was done with one light only as opposed to my usual two.. love the effect!!
When i shampoo, I put the clumps of hair that so graciously fall into my hands on the shower wall. Although many think it's disgusting, it's actually quite genius, and keeps my drain from clogging.

LA will ban plastic bags within stores, customers will now have to bring their own bags or buy bags for (what seems to be a minimum of) 25 cents each.
Works for me I s'pose. I already have my own grocery bags. Only problem is half of the time I forget to take them with me when I stop off at the store, as most of my shopping trips are not planned. I guess I'll have to start remembering now.
Ecobags.com has a great selection of bags. Probably much easier to tote around than the big bags I've bought from the grocery stores. They offer bags that wad up or fold up into tiny pouches you can easily carry in a purse or pocket. I've been wanting to buy some for a while now. Guess I will.
That's all. Just interesting.
Go buy some grocery bags.
Me.
I came across France's entry a while ago. By a guy named Sebastien Tellier. And it's awesome. Imagine if the Flaming Lips made dance music, and you couldn't understand a word Wayne Coyne was saying 'cause he's a French dude with awesome sunglasses (well, unless you spoke French).
So basically, that's all that needs to be said. Enjoy it. Because this is by far the coolest thing I've heard all year. Everyone needs to understand just how awesome this guy is. I also wish I had an all-white suit like that.
though it is the managers responsibility to issue upon the signing of the lease an up to date sticker
weather it is or is not legal i feel as i have bin raped by them and must find a new place to stay
i will always remember this company and hope to see them from a jury box someday as would all the forty people that did not get issued a sticker and committed no violation what so ever
What part of your childhood do you miss the most?

Having a flexible, healthy body. I used to be able to wrap my legs around my neck and cross my feet behind my neck. Seriously. As a teenager.
My back injury means I will never be that way again regardless.
