Wood products

Comments

I love wood products, to a degree though.
Trees are pretty much raped a lot, and it's sad when there are so many other materials available that are more earth friendly (yes, here I go again...).
On popular material to use in the place of wood is bamboo. It's really a grass. Not only that, but it is naturally antibactirial and stuff, always cool.
Most of my furniture is stuff I got from various family members or left overs from when I still lived with my mom. Other things are thrift store and freecycle finds. I refuse to buy new stuff when perfectly good used stuff is available super cheap if not free. The only down side is that it can take longer to find what you need.
Oh, try to make sure the finish/paint of your wooden stuffs is earth-friendly, too. That is always a good thing.
Oh, wait, I recall seeing a bamboo ladder looking thing that you could just lean against the wall and put your magazines on the rungs! It was really neat looking, took up little space, and BAMBOO! If I find a link for it I will send it to you.

Wood is a nice product, I notice lately many forest has been cut down for development. Sad to see that.

Bamboo furniture I seldom see but I know its not cheap too.

It's not all cheap, and I think a lot of it is starting to be grown in the US. But it is a very renewable source, and the majority of it is made from a different species than what the pandas eat.
